My journey in the technology industry has taken me to many places, but it is here in Manchester, New Hampshire, just 20 minutes from my hometown, that I have found a deep sense of belonging.
My passion for technology began when I was diagnosed with a rare leg disease at the age of 14, which left me confined to a wheelchair. This unexpected development changed my dream from being a professional athlete to the field of technology. In this new field, I gained a deep understanding of the possibilities of technology and developed a passion for product development.
This passion led to success during his tenure as Chief Technology Officer at Forcivity. There, I played a key role in growing the company from two people to over 35 people, successfully completing mergers and acquisitions, and including the company in prestigious companies. Inc. named him to its list of 5000 Fastest Growing Companies for the second year in a row.
Fast forward two years and I’m currently standing in York IE. Given that Forcivity is a York IE portfolio company, continuing our journey within the SaaS environment feels like a natural progression. The early help and support from the team here at York IE, combined with the relationships I have developed here, has only added to my excitement for this new chapter as a Senior Product Strategist.
In this ever-evolving technology landscape, Software as a Service (SaaS) has emerged as a game changer, revolutionizing the way businesses and individuals access and consume applications. As a product strategist, understanding the intricacies of the SaaS lifecycle is paramount.
It begins with the strategic ideation stage, where we identify market needs and create innovative concepts. My role as a strategist is critical during the planning and design phase, creating product roadmaps that align with market demands and user-centered designs that improve the overall experience. As someone who oversees the development process, I value agility to adapt to changing market needs.
Critical testing stages ensure product resiliency, and launches include executing a well-thought-out go-to-market strategy. It is an ongoing responsibility to scale the product to meet growing demand, ensure customer success, and drive iterative development.
As the product matures, my focus shifts to optimization, exploring growth opportunities and strengthening the product ecosystem. Ultimately, you must be prepared to guide a product through its entire lifecycle, from successful launch to potential retirement, while navigating the ever-evolving SaaS environment.
Every day at York IE, we have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our customers and their products. This is where my passion lies and I am excited to play a role in the journey of so many startups.
